Rosemarie Logue's passion for serving on the Fire Commission isn't just a desire to give back; it's written in her DNA. Rosemarie is descended from five generations of firefighters who ran toward the flames when everyone else ran away. From her great-grandfather, who lost his leg after being struck by a horse-drawn fire engine, to her father, who battled some of the most historic fires of the last century, to her cousins who carry on that tradition today, her family has dedicated itself to the fire service. She is no different.

Why She Ran

Two years ago, Rosemarie looked around Mount Holly and was troubled by what she saw. A small, politically connected group of people had consolidated control over nearly every position in town. The Township Manager also chaired the Fire District. The Deputy Mayor sat on the Planning Board, UEZ Board and the MUA simultaneously. The same select few appeared on nearly every board together.

The result? Conflicts of interest, forced recusals, missed deadlines, hidden information, and increased costs for taxpayers.

"Many hands make light work" became her motto. She believed fresh, independent voices, free from conflicts were the answer. So, she ran for a seat on the Fire Commission.

Rosemarie's Record

• Opposed reckless spending: voting against tax increases and wasteful expenditures
• Championed transparency: pushing back against commissioners who sought to operate in the shadows
• Stood up when it counted: when the Commission Chair secretly scheduled an illegal meeting in the middle of a work day to ram through controversial hirings without notifying fellow elected officials or the public, Rosemarie cut her 10th anniversary trip short, flew across the country, and walked in to place her objection on the record
• Protected our volunteer firefighters: when certain commissioners pushed policies designed to force out the volunteers and officers who operate the oldest continuously running fire company in the United States and replace them with politically connected out of town hires at a cost of hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars, Rosemarie led the fight to stop it and won

Rosemarie is a longtime Mount Holly resident who lives in town with her husband and two dogs. She is a familiar face volunteering at community events throughout our township. She seeks to continue serving this community just as five generations of her family have before her, ensuring that her neighbors and their families are protected.

If re-elected Rosemarie will keep fighting for government transparency, sound financial management, and the brave firefighters who answer the call.

Gary is a longtime resident of the Mount Holly area, and is committed to the community that he has called home for his entire life. A graduate of Rancocas Valley High School and Drexel University, Gary has deep roots in the area and genuinely cares about investing in the future of our community. He is a devoted husband, father of two girls, and a dog owner who understands the importance of responsible government and the impact that it can have on everyday families.

Gary is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) who works in the real estate development industry. His years of hands-on financial management experience have led him to develop the skills, discipline, and expertise needed to bring real accountability to our local government. Gary understands budgeting and taxes, long-term financial planning, and the importance of implementing sound financial management practices.

Why Gary is Running

Gary Brotz is running for Fire Commissioner because he knows that the Fire District deserves better. He has watched with concern and frustration as budgets have been mismanaged, tax increases have been pushed through year-after-year, and the state has been forced to reject district budgets due to improper procedural maneuvers. As a Certified Public Accountant with years of financial management experience, Gary knows these issues are avoidable. These issues are the result of incompetent leadership, a lack of transparency, and a lack of accountable oversight, but these issues can be fixed.

Gary is committed to bringing real leadership, sound financial management practices, transparency, and accountability to the Fire Commission. He will work to stop and reverse the unnecessary tax increases, restore proper budgeting procedures, and ensure that every tax dollar benefits the residents and firefighters of Mount Holly, not politically connected insiders and their friends. His background gives him the unique ability to identify mismanagement and waste, which will be eliminated under Gary's leadership. Gary is committed to establishing financially sound policies that residents of Mount Holly and the Fire District can rely on.
